Rssb satsang dada babani5/29/2024 The Life and Teachings of RSSB Satsang Dada Babani RSSB Satsang Dada Babani, also known as Baba Ji Maharaj, was a renowned Indian spiritual leader who played a significant role in shaping the Radha Soami Satsang Beas organization. Born in 1839 in Ghuman, Punjab, Singh's early life was deeply influenced by his mother Daya Kaur's devotion to North Indian Sant Namdev. At the age of four, Singh started visiting the Ghuman shrine of Namdev, and at five, he began his education with Khem Dass, a Vedantic sage. His parents, Jodh Singh and Daya Kaur, were instrumental in nurturing his spiritual growth. Before his death, Singh appointed Sawan Singh as his spiritual successor. Singh's journey in spirituality started when he became an initiate of Shiv Dayal Singh (Radha Soami). After his initiation, he served in the British Indian Army as a sepoy from the age of seventeen and attained the rank of havildar. He retired from the army and settled in Beas, where he began spreading the teachings of his guru. The place where Singh settled eventually grew into a colony, which came to be known as Dera Baba Jaimal Singh (the camp of Baba Jaimal Singh). Today, this site is recognized as the world center of the Radha Soami Satsang Beas organization. Throughout his life, Singh remained committed to spreading the teachings of his guru and establishing a spiritual community. As the first spiritual master and head of Radha Soami Satsang Beas, Singh's legacy continues to inspire devotees worldwide. His story serves as a testament to the power of devotion, discipline, and dedication to one's spiritual path.
